Pupil premium

What is it?

The Pupil Premium is additional funding which schools receive from the Government specifically to support the education of pupils known to be eligible for free school meals, children in public care (looked after children) and children whose parents are currently serving in the armed forces.
(See DfE website: www.education.gov.uk for further information)

Although all Infant School children are now entitled to free school meals you may also be entitled on the grounds of low income to other benefits, such as free school uniform and After School clubs. If your family is on a low income and you would like to see if you are entitled to these additional benefits, please contact the school office (01730 892666) and they will take the necessary details and process your claim. All information will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.

It is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium funding will be spent but they are required to publish online information about how they have used the additional funds.
