THE SHARE FAMILY LEARNING PROGRAMME
|
|
Welcome to our SHARE web page
SHARE LEARNING TOGETHER
|
Learning happens at anytime and anywhere and it is well known that children make much better progress in school if their learning is supported by parents and families at home.
The school is always ready to support parents and carers in getting involved with their child's learning and SHARE is one of the ways in which we do so.
The SHARE family learning programme uses a very practical hands-on approach and all you need is enthusiasm and an hour a week.
SHARE update May 2010
Unfortunately we haven’t been able to run any SHARE sessions recently BUT
hopefully we will be able to start again soon
PLEASE WATCH THIS SPACE
However whilst you are waiting here are a couple of activities that you could use with your child.
Have fun

Please read in conjunction with PDF file containing the activity sheets
ACTIVITY 1
FLAGS OF ALL NATIONS – thought this could be used in conjunction with the World Cup where your child will be introduced to different countries and their national flags.
IDEAS – Maybe they could keep a tally of how many times they see each flag! Download the flags off the internet Use the template to make some flags or just photocopy and colour them in. Maybe get a world map and find the countries (again could download off the internet) Place the flag onto the world map

ACTIVITY 2
SUN SHADE – Yes let’s hope the sun continues, so how about making a sun hat? You never know your child might actually wear it!
This sheet also provides some talking points and may also help your child to understand why you need to put sun cream on.
ACTIVITY 3
FLOUR FUN – If you don’t mind a mess then go for it. This is a great activity to help your child with writing and their motor skills.
ACTIVITY 4
SORTING OUT THE WASHING- What a good excuse for your child to help you with the washing!
